The optional check valve in the for Hunter Pro-Spray body eliminates drainage at heads installed on slopes, protecting landscapes from damage and erosion while reducing water waste.
For example: If the sprinkler is installed at the bottom of a hill, generally when the system is off gravity will putt the water in the pipes down the hill. The check valve prevents the water from seeping out the nozzle and "pooling" at the bottom of the hill, wasting water and creating a muddy mess.
