Polyurethane (PU) elastomer is a type of elastic material which lies in between rubber and plastic.
It possesses not only the high elasticity of rubber but also the high intensity of plastic.
It performs outstandingly in abrasion resistance biocompatibility and hemocompatibility.
Meanwhile it features high oil resistance
high impact resistance
low temperature resistance
high ozone resistance
high radiation resistance
high load capacity and heat and electrical insulation properties.
Although the production output of PU elastomers is not massive in the polyurethane industry
the variety of PU elastomers in terms of types
processing methods and applications are still incomparable by other PU products.
PU elastomers can be classified into 3 categories as Cast
Thermoplastic and Millable according to their processing characteristics.
