Special Features

  • Usage: JIFETOR combustion leak detector is used to detect the damage of cylinder head and gasket of combustion and liquid-cooled engine (gasoline, diesel oil, liquefied petroleum gas), by testing whether there is CO2 in the radiator. If the cylinder head or head gasket is damaged, the exhaust gas containing CO2 usually discharged from the exhaust pipe will enter the cooling system
  • Easy to Use: Heat the coolant and keep the engine idling. Add a proper amount of test liquid to the level line in both chambers, install the device on the neck of radiator, extract the gas from the radiator (be careful not to extract the coolant). If the test liquid changes from blue to yellow or green, there is a combustion leak, which means that the seal under the cylinder head or the head is damaged.
  • Dual-chamber: The head gasket tester has a dual-chamber unit, which eliminates false positives and provides a high-precision test. The first combustion chamber will filter out any alkaline particles that may cause a false indication of combustion leakage. The test results of the second combustion chamber will provide a true indication of combustion leakage.
  • Adapters: The combustion leakage test tool set is equipped with two types of adapters: a universal adapter with a wide measuring range (15-40mm), suitable for various vehicles such as automobiles, trucks, road tractors, excavators, motorcycles and forklifts.3 dedicated adapters compatibale with Mercedes Benz, GM, Jeep, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge and other specific models.
  • Test Fluid: This leak tester kit comes with 17oz special test fluid good for 16 applications, which should be blue. If the liquid is green or yellow-green, discard and get a new liquid. In order to prolong the shelf life, the liquid should be stored in a cool and dark place (not in direct sunlight).
  • Note: Performing the combustion leak test requires you to work on a running and hot engine. Be especially careful, wear goggles, heat-resistant gloves and a coat to prevent scalding by hot coolant or engine parts, and prevent clothes or body parts from getting entangled in the running engine.
  • Packing List: 1 dual-chamber testing tool, 2 bottles CO2 reaction liquid, 1 aspirator bulb, 3 dedicated adapters, 1 coupler. All the accessories are protected in a customized blow molding case, which keeps everything in place.
