CHARACTERISTICS: The hand-made western saddle girth is made of genuine sheepskin and a durable quilted fabric. Buckles and D-rings are made of stainless steel and guarantee durability. The wool is approximately 30 mm / 1.2 inches in length. The total length of the girth is measured from one buckle pin to the other.
FIT: Our lambskin saddle girth provides very pleasant padding for your horse and helps decrease pressure marks. Both sides are slightly cut back, and therefore, the girth provides elbow clearance. It has a wider surface area along the sternum of the horse (which is the strongest point of contact), and hence, it displaces pressure evenly along its length.
BENEFITS: Lambskin is perfect for saddle girths, as it is smooth and does not rub. Furthermore, lambskin is breathable and temperature-regulating, as the air can easily circulate between the fibres. This makes our girth ideal for warm summer days, absorbing sweat reliably and hence keeping your horse's skin dry. This lambskin girth is particularly suitable for horses with sensitive skin.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: We are highly committed to production processes that keep the environmental impact as low as possible. Every single step within the production and manufacture of this natural product is handcrafted and carried out by us in our own facilities.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Our lambskin girth is machine-washable and unaffected by drying. We recommend using our CHRIST C7 laundry detergent for lambskin! By using the tumble dryer, the lambskin will stay soft and elastic.
