The Ideal-Tridon Flex-Gear 41 series stainless steel constant torque worm gear clamp has a stainless steel band and housing, a zinc-plated steel screw, and provides constant tension for reduced leakage in changing temperatures. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp's diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. A Belleville spring mechanism helps the clamp increase or decrease its diameter as operational or environmental temperatures change. The band's inner liner covers the band's serrations and helps prevent damage to a soft hose as the clamp is tightened. The band's 5/8” width provides a greater sealing area than clamps of smaller width. The band, liner, housing, and springs are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 300 standard and provides resistance to corrosion. The 3/8” hex-head screw allows installation using a nut driver, or socket wrench. The screw is made of carbon steel that is zinc-plated for resistance to rust.
