Thermowells for aid in temperature sensing by duda energy a thermowell is needed in order to use a temperature sensor in a tank or pipe system. These are usually pre-installed inside of a solar tank, however, they may be installed into any port or pipe fitting which has 1/2 inch npt fittings. In pipe installations, use a tee for connecting to pipes. The sensor slides inside of the thermowell once secured into a pipeline or tank. This may also be used as a replacement for corroded thermowells pre-installed into Duda Solar tanks. Inner diameter of the tube inside the thermowell for insertion of the sensor is approximately 7mm. These are best used with the duda energy Pt1000 and 10k sensors. Longer length thermowells allow for deeper insertion into a tank or pipeline. These may be beneficial when it is a large tank or the sensing needs to be in the center of a pipeline. Copper thermowells have brass 1/2 inch hex adapters. Stainless steel thermowells have stainless steel 1/2 inch hex adapters
