Inserts are securely held in Slot Grip Blades by a tapered locking system featuring a "Positive Stop" that prevents insert drift and the blade pocket from spreading once the insert is firmly in place. The inserts' cutting edge location repeats accurately and, as a result, prevents insert splitting under heavy feed and shock loads. The blade and insert geometry permits free chip flow, minimizing insert breakage due to chip build-up.
