Boat part number 8402904 is a new push-to-close flush mount glove box latch from Southco, part number M1-2A-13-1 . Commonly used on MasterCraft Boats, part number 569913 , but may be used on other boats.

Manufacturer features:

Knob sits flush when not in use, but pops out to provide a secure grip to operate the latch and open the door
Latch holds securely whether knob is pressed in or popped out
Designed for exterior usage strong enough to withstand corrosive marine environments
This glove box latch is constructed out of chrome plated plastic. It measures approximately 2" L x 1 1/2" Dia. overall. It requires an approximate 1 1/4" Dia. cutout and has a max panel thickness of 3/4". Please see photos for additional measurements. Catch included.
