Description

Computer Generated Imagery Infrared Facial Markers are for making vector motion maps. Includes 54 3mm Markers, 42 4mm Markers, 36 5mm Markers and 33 6mm Markers. The Markers are self-adhesive, but you will probably have to use addition adhesive depending of the surface you want to stick to. These CGI markers appear black when viewed with regular vision, but glow white when viewed with an Infrared Camera. The points of light seen by the Infrared Camera can be used to make a vector motion map for CGI Animation purposes. Infrared Facial Markers can be used to produce facial animation of CGI characters: humans, humanoids, animals, legendary creatures or action characters. You'll have to do your own research, but from a superficial reading of various CGI software, it looks like our Infrared Facial Markers can be used to identify pivot points to make vector motion maps with computer programs like Cascadeur, Blender, K-3D, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, Houdini and Autodesk 3DS Max. According to Wikipedia, Infrared Facial Markers can be used in the preparation of keyframing, morphing, blend shaping, animation and skeletal animation. Facial animation has become well-known and popular through animated feature films and computer games but its applications include many more areas such as communication, education, scientific simulation, and agent-based systems (for example online customer service representatives). With the recent advancements in computational power in personal and mobile devices, facial animation has transitioned from appearing in pre-rendered content to being created at runtime.
