Lavender 40/42 (aceite esencial de lavanda) is made up of natural lavender oils blended to create an oil containing 40% linalool and 42% linalyl acetate. These are the two main compounds giving Lavender its characteristic aroma. The scent of lavender oil varies greatly from growing region to growing region and from season to season. The advantage of lavender 40/42 (sometimes called standardized lavender oil) is that the fragrance is reliably consistent. This makes it a great choice for makers of DIY soaps, candles, perfumery, incense, cosmetics, lotions, hair care products, and skin creams.

Nature-identical essential oils such as lavender 40/42 are not suited for aromatherapy and therapeutic applications.
