The AltRider skid plate for the BMW F 850 GS provides maximum coverage to the headers while maintaining excellent ground clearance. We have evolved from our original corrugated design to provide maximum ground clearance. We are planning to ride off road so no plastic parts on this design to break or melt on the exhaust our goal is to maintain BMW's intention of a capable off road bike. Made in the USA from 4.1 mm thick grained and anodized aluminum this skid plate offers premium protection to the oil filter headers and sump while looking great doing it. Craftsman TIG welds are used on all seams to maximize strength; other designs have not. We created custom tooling in order to form the side flanges this wraps around the headers better and provides increased corning clearance. Available in a clear silver or anodized black finish.
