This charming birdhouse is made with two dried, hard-shelled gourds. The gourd on the bottom is an apple gourd. It is dyed red with a leather dye and a 1.5" inch hole is drilled to offer a place for a wren, or other small bird, to make a nest and raise it's young. Birdhouses may vary in shape in size, mother nature does not standardize her design, so each birdhouse is a one-of-a-kind!
