Remove residual gasket material from steel or aluminum cylinder heads, manifolds, pumps, and oil pans. Carbide edge works quickly for carbon buildup, rust, glue, epoxy, and varnish removal. A carbide steel edge will last and perform much better than an ordinary steel scraper blade. 5/8-in., and 1-1/4-in. wide Tungsten carbide edges mounted to steel blades and molded into 6-in. grips. Caution is needed when working with aluminum to avoid scratching or gouging the surface. Not for use with glass or as a windshield scraper.
