Wax Tube Sizer is used to enlarge the hole diameter of wax ring models to the correct finger size needed. A hardwood mandrel with a steel cutting blade edge inserted into the tapered section of the wooden mandrel makes sizing easy.

The Wax model is slid on the mandrel through the hole of a wax tube or wax ring model and lightly rotate in a clockwise rotation. It is used as a reamer, as the wax is turned the blade edge removes material enlarging the hole to the desired finger size.

Since the mandrel is tapered it will be necessary to turn the wax model around the other side to get a more consistent core size, additionally, flatting can be achieved with some filing.
