Description
Phyllanthus fluitans is a small, freshwater floating plant with unique trailing red roots. The "Red Root Floater" grows wild in South America, but is well suited for aquarium life as it readily adapts to a wide range of environments. The floating caps of P. fluitans can be green to red, depending on the intensity of the light above the aquarium, but the dangling roots, will always remain red. We like to use Red Root Floaters in community aquariums, tanks with shy or skittish fish, or when you want to cut down on the light penetrating to the substrate or bottom surface of your aquarium or planted tank aquascape. Each portion will include a few portions of Phyllanthus fluitans similar to the sample photo. Coloration may vary due to seasonality, our current growing conditions, and natural variation in this live plant.
