This Fusion Climb FP-9005-PKHS Tacoma High Strength Carabiner is made from a high strength stainless steel, also containing a captive eye pin. The captive pin is a valuable tool to use when optimal strength, stability and control is needed. The captive eye pin is used to keep the object at the major axis point where the rated strength is the strongest. The type of gate a carabiner has makes a big difference in what the carabiner should be used for. This carabiner is equipped with an auto locking feature which uses a twist and pull motion for opening. This carabiner also has an internal spring mechanism to not only close the carabiner, but also lock the carabiner as soon as the gate is released.
