These LC-2 style Y suspenders are part of the ALICE (The All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment) system, which was introduced as the standard of the US Army in the early 1980s. Because they are designed for use with the LC-2 belt, their fully adjustable straps can be attached to the belt at four points with self-closing hooks.
