Features:
1. Well made fairly easy install. Allows you to print harder and abrasive materials: These hardened gears will allow you to print harder and more abrasive filaments such as those containing glass or carbon fibers or other particles.
2. Everything came off easily and went back together in a straightforward manner too. The arm with the secondary gear which presses into the filament with a spring is a different color than the original one, so that part is easy to tell apart. Very nice upgrade, I am just now experimenting with the settings needed to print using carbon fiber filament.
3. Great alternative to the OEM: This extruder assembly fit like OEM and is a good alternative. No issues printing with this.
4. A Robust Upgrade for Bambu Lab X1 Users: This kit replaces the stock plastic extruder gears with hardened steel alternatives, significantly improving durability and wear resistance and potentially extending the lifespan of your hotend.
5. Hardened Steel Gears: The kit's core feature is the hardened steel gears, which are significantly more resistant to wear and abrasion than the original plastic gears. This is particularly beneficial when using abrasive filaments like carbon fiber, glow-in-the-dark, or metal-filled composites that can quickly wear down softer materials.
6. Enhanced Durability: The hardened steel gears are designed to withstand the rigors of frequent use and abrasive filaments, ensuring your extruder remains reliable and performs consistently over time.
7. Improved Grip: The gear teeth are precisely machined for optimal engagement with the filament, providing a secure grip and minimizing the risk of slipping or grinding, which can lead to under-extrusion or print quality issues.
8. Aluminum Handle: The kit includes an aluminum handle for the extruder, which offers a more comfortable and ergonomic grip than the original plastic handle.
9. Easy Installation: The kit is relatively easy to install, with clear instructions and all necessary components included. However, some basic technical knowledge and familiarity with 3D printer disassembly is recommended.
