Sri Yantra or Shree Yantra is an auspicious, and powerful Yantra. 'Shree' means wealth and Yantra means Instrument. This sacred instrument is an ancient tool which possesses Cosmic powers that help the worshippers of this magnificent Yantra to fulfil all worldly desires or wishes, both material and spiritual.
It is also referred to as Sri Chakra Yantra. As is evident from Hindu texts, it depicts the evolution of the Universe. It is an important Vastu. The Sri Yantra is specially worshipped on Diwali festival, which not only gives the maximum benefit. The energy emanated by the Sri Yantra effectively destroys all negative and unwanted energies present within the vicinity and replaces it with positive vibration.
If you see Yantra in 2 Dimensions, there are 9 Intertwined Isosceles triangles at the centre of the diagram, surrounded by circles with Lotus Petals and a square formation outside. The 9 interlocked Triangles from 43 smaller Triangles, which are said to represent the whole of the Universe. 4 of the 9 main Triangles are pointed upwards, symbolically representing the Masculine or Lord Shiva. The Five Triangles pointing downwards represent the Feminine or Shakti. This is a beautiful depiction of the Divine union.
For Placing Yantra at te Right Place, you look at the tip of a Shree Yantra, you would find only one of them which is exactly in line with the bottom base (the other two are off-centred). This is the Face of the yantra and it should face the West. You may place the Shree Yantra in the East portion of your dwelling. It should be placed in such a location that it is visible from all sides as it will affect all locations from where it is visible. The back of the yantra (exactly opposite the tip) does not show any energy, and it is best placed against a wall. The yantra is best placed at a height reaching up to your heart level.
