The MyoWare 2.0 LED Shield is designed to display the magnitude of a target muscle's signal & power the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor w/ its built-in battery. The blue 10-segment bar graph shows the magnitude of the measured signal. The more muscle activation measured, the higher up the board LEDs will go! W/ this shield, you will be provided w/ a visual representation of the signals provided by the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor. The LED shield is equipped w/ snap connectors on the board so you can easily stack it on the top side of the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor & flip the switch to the ON position to give the sensor all the power it needs to work its myoelectric magic.
Each board comes w/ a 40mAh single cell, lithium polymer (LiPo) battery soldered to the board. Recharge the battery through the USB Type C connector & its dedicated LiPo charging circuit set to a charge rate of 40mA. This board also includes status LEDs for charging (CHG, FULL, & power (VIN)). Connecting the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor to battery power allows for a cleaner signal while also eliminating the possibility of creating a dangerous current path to the power grid. Use it to gauge how hard you're working a muscle during a workout, as a teaching tool, or add some myoelectric flair to your Halloween costume!
MyoWare & the LED Shield are not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation treatment, or prevention of disease, in a man or other animals.
The MyoWare 2.0 ecosystem consists of shields that easily interface w/ the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor, which is a low-cost, Arduino-compatible, all-in-one electromyography (EMG) sensor from Advancer Technologies. The innovative connector system allows users to easily snap shields together w/ a compact low profile & connect to a microcontroller's analog input to measure raw, filtered, & rectified electrical activity of a target muscle. This eliminates the need to solder connections between boards.
