Description

The Brennan PCNY2803 series wye fitting is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and has tube connectors. This run tee fitting has female connections on one straight end and the branch and a male connection on the other straight end. Pipe dimensions for tees are represented as A x B x C. "A" and "B" indicate the main run on the fitting, and "C" indicates the branch. It is a push-to-connect fitting that accepts the insertion of nylon, soft nylon and polyurethane tube fittings. It is made of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), which is a polymer resistant to solvents, shrinkage, heat, and impact, and it can be treated to increase resistance to UV and flammability. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 290 pounds per square inch (psi), and its operating temperature ranges from -4 to 175 degrees F.
Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Push-to-connect compression fittings do not require tools or sealants, and are useful in installations where a heat source, such as a soldering torch, is prohibited. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Brennan Industries manufactures critical flow components. The company, founded in 1953 and headquartered in Solon, OH, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards and its fittings meet Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specifications.
