Edith Stein was born Jewish, and drawn to the Catholic faith and Discalced Carmelite order as an adult, where she chose the name Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. A writer and philosopher, I added books in the background to highlight the depth and beauty of her writings, as well as 6-pointed Stars of David - she was martyred in a Nazi concentration camp in 1942.
