SELECTING THE RIGHT HOSE BARB FITTINGS:
Hose barbs are sized by the tubing I.D. (Inner diameter). The correct hose barb is the inner diameter of the tubing. Ex. 1/2" Hose barb is 1/2" tubing I.D.
A hose barb works by putting tubing over the top of the barb, so the hose barb O.D. will be larger than tubing I.D. to increase the barb's ability to hold onto the tube.
