How to use:
Step 1: Place the Mason jar lid on top of the jar.
Step 2: Push the jar sealer down to the jar until it covers the whole rim of the Mason jar.
When using the electric pump:
Place the electric pump accurately on the suction hole of the sealer and press it tightly.
The best vacuum sealing effect can be achieved by pumping 10 seconds or more.
When using the vacuum appliance compatible with Foodsaver:
Insert one end of the hose port onto the vacuum appliance and the other end on top of the sealer then vacuum seal.
Please read carefully with the User's manual if the Mason jar will not vacuum?
Following are some possible solutions.
1. Make sure the Mason jar sealer is centered and pressed firmly over the lid the Mason jar.
2. Make sure the rubber gasket on the Mason jar lid is free from food particles, crumbs, etc.
3. Make sure the rim of the Mason jar does not have any cracks or scratches. Any gaps can prevent a vacuum from forming.
4. Make sure the Mason jar is not too full for vacuum packaging. Always leaver at least one inch (1") between the contents and the lid.
5. Make sure the metal lid of the Mason jar is not bent.
6. Make sure the Accessory Hose is securely inserted into the accessory port on the appliance and in the hole on the Jar Sealer.
