The DriTan also has great sustainable benefits by using less water and chemicals than traditional tanning techniques
  • BUGrip Technology: Outsole featuring Icebugs tried and true BUGrip technology. BUGrip rubber membrane and has 15-17 integrated steel studs give confidence on Ice conditions but does not compromise grip on pavement and other surfaces.  
  • BOA Lacing system: Featuring BOA lacing system that creates a more custom fit keeping the shoe comfortable by providing even closure and no pressure point, ensuring happy feet on long walks.   
  • RB9X Traction: Non studded RB9X outsole with lugs designed in a pattern designed to maintain traction and decrease slipping on Mud, rocks, and roots.  
  • Sustainability is the most important thing we do: Every part of the Ava RB9X walking shoe is created with sustainability in mind.. Gore-Tex lining membrane is bluesign certified. Inner heel and toe reinforcements are created from 60% recycled plastics. Midsole EVA created with BLOOM Foam technology made from algae biomass that absorbs Carbon while being produced helping Icebug close the production loop. 

Description

Ava has a DriTan oily nubuck leather upper, making it a shoe that is easy to take care of. The design is clean, minimalistic with Scandinavian simplicity. The BOA Fit System adds a sleek technical look to the shoe transforming it from a ”leather walking shoe” into a stylish sneaker. Stitch-and-turn joints and architectural lines make the look edgy and sleek. The shoe has a BUGdri membrane which makes Ava the perfect three-season walker as it keeps your feet dry and comfortable also in foul weather. The membrane is made of 50% recycled polyester.
