With Ardent's lightweight deep V 6061 T6 machined aluminum spool and swept-back carbon fiber handle with comfort EVA grip knobs, this reel weighs in at only 5.9 ounces. The Apex Elite features a high strength aluminum frame with an externally adjustable 270 degree magnetic brake. Line capacity is 12 pounds/150 yards. The Apex Elite is also equipped with a swept-back forged aluminum star drag. Available in 6.5:1 and 7.3:1 gear ratios in right and left hand retrieve, 5.3:1 gear ratio in right hand retrieve only.
