Versatile Crafting - The innovative Etch 'N Pearl three piece set works with all types of clay from polymer oven-bake clay, air dry clay, non dry clay and even pottery clay. This tool set is perfect for all skill levels. The Etch 'N Pearl Set is perfect for all types of craft projects from jewelry making, mixed media. home decor, holiday and so much more! Tips for using the Sculpey Tools Etch 'N Pearl - - It is so easy to use! Simply condition a bar of clay in your hands to get it soft, lay on your work surface and use the roller to make a sheet of clay. - When working with polymer oven-bake clay it is important to protect your work surface by using the Sculpey oven safe work mat, a piece of glass, a metal sheet or other favorite work surface. - To make pearls using these tools there are a couple ways to do this: - The first way is to make small balls of clay, put them on your work surface then pick them up with the concave ends of the tools. - Another way is to roll out a flat sheet of clay. Always press the concave end into a damp sponge before pressing it into the clay. The sponge provides just the right amount of moisture to help the clay release from the tool. Press the tool into the sheet of clay and twist, lift up then add to your other clay piece that you want to add pearls to. - The Etch 'N Pearl tools are easy to clean using soap and water or a baby wipe
