Authentic 1910's font in hand sign stating VOTES FOR WOMEN. Just add long dress or skirt (not included) and you're a suffragist.
  • [SUFFRAGE SASH] 4 inch by 72 inch tri-color satin sash. Based on research of hundreds of photos, we're able to provide you with a historically accurate sash that combines 18 stars and the text VOTES FOR WOMEN. The stars represent the half-way point in states ratifying the 19th Amendment. (36 were required.) The 3 colors -- purple, white, gold -- are the authentic American suffrage colors.
  • [SUFFRAGIST RIBBON ROSETTE COCKADE] We made a 3-inch authentic 1900s style ribbon rosette with streamers. Wear it on your collar or dress front on the left side and Be a Suffragist.
  • [SUFFRAGE HAND SIGN] Based on additional research, we found the typical sign carried by suffragists as they marched, petitioned, and spoke about the need for women to vote. We chose an authentic 1910s font for the messaage -- VOTES FOR WOMEN. The sign is perfect to carry in your hand, but if you have a party, the sign is a perfect table decoration.
  • [HISTORICALLY ACCURATE COLORS] Researched right down to the colors in the sash and rosette. Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton went to Kansas to petition the state legislature. They were inspired by the gold of the sunflowers they saw — choosing gold, purple, and white as suffrage colors. Elsewhere suffragette marchers featured what we might call an antique gold. So we have used both of these historically authentic colors in this set. Enjoy.
