This listing is for a large brass mala counter (in Tibetan we call it CHUPSHED) CHU means ten and SHED means stop. The reason is because there are ten beads that used for counting mantras or prostration. This counter is great for those extra large bodhi seed mala. There are ten brass beads on each counter and a bell shaped bead and dorje shaped bead. Each bead measures 4mm thick and 7 mm diameter and the bell and the dorje measures 1.25 inches long. They are strung on a leather string for the purpose of meditating impermanance. This item is hand made in Kathmandu Nepal by Tibetan Artisans.
