Make a square blade scratch awl to your own unique design using this awl kit. This kit is made by Narex of the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from Chrome Vandium Cr-V steel and heat treated to HRc 61. Blade is 6 mm / 0.230" in diameter and 135 mm / 5-1/4” long. Blade tip is ground and sharpened and ready to use. Epoxy blade in place for a secure fit. Brass ferrule is OD 0.471" and ID 0.0435 and .361” long. Ferrule is a proper ferrule with bevel on both inside edges and annealed so will not split with wood movement. This awl kit is an excellent value for a good quality tool.
