Hanayama PLANET puzzle is a 2 piece take-apart puzzle. Newly released in 2022. The objective is to separate the inner sphere from its ring. The sphere has approximately 18 slightly different sized nubs on its surface. The inside of the ring is very irregular. The key is figuring how to twist the ring and the sphere in the correct direction/s allowing the two pieces to separate. PLANET Hanayama is a level 4 puzzle on a scale on 1 to 6 where 6 is the most difficult. Most will find the PLANET Puzzle an excellent challenge. Requires much thinking, planning and many attempts. Equally challenging is to put the puzzle back together. Occasionally someone will accidentally separate the pieces and think they are a genius !!!! NOT SO ! Mastering the puzzle means you can disassemble and assemble the three pieces easily. Meaning you know exactly which moves to execute to untangle the pieces and then to re-assemble. Simply a series of clever moves. Recommended for ages 12 to 105 years. NO FORCE is ever required to solve the puzzle. Forcing pieces may damage the puzzle !!
