Special Features

  • MOST ADVANCED RASPBERRY PI YET: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is a significant improvement over the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. 3X CPU speed, up to 4X RAM, true Gigabit Ethernet, 2X USB 3.0, Dual 4K MicroHDMI Video, MicroSD UHS, and Bluetooth 5.0 in the same compact size.
  • REDESIGNED LAYOUT: While the form factor is still the same, the layout has changed so Raspberry Pi 4 Model B will need a new case. The processor is built on newer 28nm technology but the cores use more power on startup (1A) while peak power (1.5A) is slightly lower than before.
  • IMPORTANT CHANGES: Instead of MicroUSB, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B uses USB Type C for power. You can use a MicroUSB to USB Type C adapter if you have a high quality true 2.5A power supply. The HDMI ports are the MicroHDMI variant and not the MiniHDMI variant found on the Raspberry Pi Zero.
  • ANODIZED HEATSINKS FOR LONG LASTING PERFORMANCE: With our exclusive heatsink set in non-enclosed passive cooling condition, the Pi 4 can operate at maximum performance for five time longer than without heatsinks or about twice as long as lower profile competitive heatsinks.
  • ASSEMBLY WARNING: Only the main SoC disipate enough heat to warrant a heatsink. The LPDDR4 RAM, Ethernet PHY, and WiFi/BT module should not have heatsinks! Putting heatsinks on them poses short-circuit risk and decreases wireless signal quality. Do not use metal cases if you plan to use WiFi or Bluetooth!

Description

The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is highest performing Raspberry Pi yet with dual 4K capability, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and much more. It is equipped with desktop-class quad-core 64-bit ARM processor operating at 1.8GHz available with 2GB, 4GB, and now 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It is astonishingly three times faster in most system performance benchmarks but has higher idle power consumption. At full speed, it consumes less power than the outgoing Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. What is not to love?
With the higher idle power consumption and heat, we have paired it with the exclusive LoveRPi heatsink set that allows the Raspberry Pi 4 to operate at max performance five times longer! Running a theoretical burn workload, the heatsink set allows the board to run 60 seconds before thermal throttling compared to 12 seconds without. Normal workloads will last even longer!
The new board also has built-in support for the new Bluetooth 5.0 standard as well as the previous wireless technologies like Dual-Band 2.4GHz 802.11N and 5GHz 802.11AC WiFi. True gigabit ethernet connectivity and USB 3.0 drastically improves IO connectivity and performance.
