Special Features

  • U.3 NVMe SSD Only – Specifically designed for 2.5" U.3 SSDs following SFF-TA-1001 standard. Does not support U.2 (SFF-8639) or SATA/SAS drives.
  • PCIe 4.0 x4 Ready – Optimized for PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 (16 GT/s per lane, up to 8 GB/s) to match the speed of modern U.3 enterprise SSDs. *Note: Please check if personal CPU and Motherboard support PCIe 4.0.
  • Simple Installation – Plug and play, no driver required. Mount the U.3 drive directly onto the U.3 interface with included screws, then insert into any PCIe x4/x8/x16 slot. Hot Swap is not supported.
  • Passive Cooling Design – A large open cutout on the PCB beneath the drive bay promotes airflow and prevents heat buildup, keeping your U.3 SSD cool under load.

Description

Aukuoy PCIe 4.0 x4 to U.3 adapter is purpose‑built for these next‑generation drives, ensuring correct signal mapping and stable operation. U.3 (SFF-TA-1001) is the new standard for tri‑mode enterprise SSDs, but it requires a different pinout than U.2.

Simply attach your U.3 NVMe SSD, install the card in any PCIe x4/x8/x16 slot, and your system will recognize it instantly. The card ships with both full‑height and low‑profile brackets, and the PCB includes a ventilation cutout to naturally channel airflow over the hot spots of the drive.

Note: This PCIe 4.0 x4 to U.3 adapter card does not support hot swap – always shut down your system before drive installation or removal.
