The aggressive porting reduces overall weight without compromising structural integrity, and the large arbor design delivers fast line pickup and reduced line memory for a responsive, capable setup on the water. The smooth composite disc drag system with stainless steel interface is tuned to protect 7X tippet on delicate presentations and stand up to fast-water battles on 0X, while the anodized aluminum drag knob and escapement cover provide precise adjustment and added durability. Every reel is hard-anodized in-house at Ross's state-of-the-art anodizing facility in Montrose, using a zero-discharge closed-loop system that recycles and purifies water to protect the nearby Uncompahgre River.
