Correct Usage Method:
First, gently press the hardness test file onto the workpiece. Lightly file forward for approximately 5mm. If the file slips, it indicates the workpiece's hardness exceeds that of the test file. Conversely, if you feel resistance during filing, the workpiece's hardness is lower than the test file.

Recommended Method for Prolonging File Life:
Begin with the highest hardness file, such as HRC65 (black). If it can effectively file the workpiece, switch to HRC60 (blue). If this file also works, proceed to HRC50 (green). Should the file slip, the workpiece hardness falls between HRC50-55.
