ATS Acoustic recyclable acoustical cotton batts are a soft-touch and eco-friendly alternative to fiberglass or mineral wool acoustic and thermal insulation. The natural cotton fibers are 100% recyclable and are made from at least 85% post-industrial recycled content such as cotton and denim, making them ideal for LEED certified projects. The thickness can vary in these soft batts + / - 0.5 inches. Contains 15% PET plastic fibers to bind the cotton fibers together. Much softer and more pleasant to work with than fiberglass. These cotton batts feature superior sound absorption - better than their fiberglass counterparts. Cotton batts feature low VOC's, no formaldehyde, and no itch or skin irritation, making them the preferred method of insulation for acoustic and thermal construction for residential, commercial, or industrial applications. Easy to work with and fabricate on the job site, these cotton batts are the industry standard for professional recording booths, where VOC's in a small space can be of concern, typically used by musicians, singers, voice over actors, streamers and influencers, podcasters, or anyone recording speech or vocals in a small space. The acoustic absorption properties of the cotton batts reduces reverb and echo, keeping sound clear and crisp.
