APPLICABLE SURFACES: The 4611 double sided Tape bonds effectively with various substrates, including aluminum, steel, glass, marble, tile, powder-coated paints, composites, plastics, and hardwoods. However, it's not suitable for heavily textured surfaces or painted walls, as it may remove paint upon removal. Its unique viscoelastic properties provide strong adhesion to both high and low surface energy materials, making it ideal for diverse projects.
USER GUIDELINES: For optimal bond strength, thoroughly clean surfaces with a 50:50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. Apply tape when temperatures are between 70°F to 100°F (21°C - 38°C), allowing the bond to set for 72 hours with hard press. Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 50°F (10°C) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily. However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is generally satisfactory.
EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE: The dual sided tape features an acrylic foam with a general purpose adhesive, providing high shear strength, strong surface adhesion, and withstand extreme temperatures, it offers excellent performance up to 300°F (149°C) and can handle short term exposure up to 450°F (232°C). Makes it suitable for bonding prior to high temperature paint processes and reliable in demanding environments where heat is a factor. More durable, reliable, and easier to remove cleanly (from bare surfaces) than traditional foam tapes that split or harden over time.
