Special Features

  • This instrument is a permanent magnet that generates a magnetic field to rotate the armature or generator. It is composed of stator, rotor, brush, bottom plate and manual mechanism.
  • When the armature coil rotates in a permanent magnetic field, the direction of the coil's cutting line changes periodically, and the direction and magnitude of the induced electromotive force also change periodically, that is, alternating current is generated.
  • AC power is supplied to the outside through the collector ring and brushes of the commutator. If the brushes are moved to the middle of the slip ring, where the copper half-ring is rectified, the output is DC.
  • To demonstrate the alternator, first move the brushes to the entire ring part of the current collecting ring, and then use a sliding rheostat and a DC current meter to form an external circuit.
  • Connect the output end of the generator to slowly rotate the rotor of the generator, the ammeter will clearly show the direction of current change, or you can use a DC voltmeter to connect to the output end for demonstration

PurposeThis machine is used to demonstrate the basic structure and working principle of AC and DC generators for junior high school physics and elementary school natural knowledge teaching.Second, the structureThis instrument is a permanent magnet that generates a magnetic field to rotate the armature or generator.
