Description
The SuperKar+ Eurorack synth module brings Karplus-Strong synthesis to Eurorack systems. This synthesis technique uses a short delay line with feedback to create a variety of tones, from string-like plucks to percussive and resonant timbres. At its core, the module contains two 16-voice polyphonic instruments. The Solo Voice provides stable tuning over eight octaves via MIDI or six octaves via CV, functioning as a velocity-sensitive polyphonic sound source. The Chord Voice includes a harmony engine for generating doubled notes and scale-based chords in modes such as Major, Minor, Dorian, and Lydian. Control over key sound parameters allows detailed tone shaping. The Attack, Decay, and Damp controls adjust how sound transitions between plucked, bowed, and muted characteristics. Features such as portamento (Glide), random per-note detune, and a Timbre switch for string or tube-style feedback provide additional tonal flexibility. Multiple output options are available, including Wide Stereo and Split modes for individual signal routing. Audio inputs can be used to feed or process external sounds within the modular environment—ideal for integrating guitar accessories and other instruments into your modular setup. The SuperKar+ module integrates into a standard Eurorack system, offering extended sound design options and adaptable control for electronic music production.
