Application of 4 Resistors: The selection of resistors varies with operating temperature. Typically, the ECO light remains off or infrequently on, necessitating no changes. However, under normal driving conditions, if the ECO light frequently illuminates, increase the resistance. If the Check Engine Light (CEL) persists beyond a week, reduce the resistance.
Compatible Models: Compatible with vehicles equipped with a 3.5L V6 Engine featuring VCM technology, including Acura models from 2013 onwards, Pilot from 2009 onwards, Accord from 2008 onwards, Ridgeline from 2007 onwards, and Odyssey from 2007 onwards (also compatible with Odyssey 2005-2006 models after male connector modification).
Packing Contents: The package comprises 1 VCM control module wiring harness plug, accompanied by 4 resistors of varying ohmic values (68 ohms, 82 ohms, 100 ohms, 120 ohms). The connector features 4 buttons for seamless integration of resistors and wiring harness.
Used Step: Begin by disconnecting the ECT1 connector, situated atop the engine on the driver's side. Gently release the retaining tab, wiggle the connector slightly, and unplug it from the ECT1 sensor. Proceed to connect the VCM harness by plugging its female end into the ECT1 sensor and the vehicle's original equipment manufacturer (OEM) harness female connector into the product's male end. Finally, reinstall the engine cover to complete the installation.
