🔧 Professional Installation Guide:
For a long-lasting, rattle-free installation, please follow these steps carefully:
Clean Thoroughly: Wash the existing mirror housing with soap and water. Then, wipe the surface vigorously with an alcohol pad or grease remover to eliminate all wax, oil, and dust. This is the most critical step for adhesion.
Test Fit: Before peeling the tape, place the new cover over the mirror to ensure proper alignment and fit. Mark the position if necessary.
Prepare Adhesive: Peel off the protective backing from the double-sided tape on the new cover.
Cold Weather Tip: If installing in temperatures below 60°F (15°C), gently warm the adhesive tape and the mirror surface with a hair dryer or heat gun for 30 seconds. DO NOT use an open flame (lighter) as it can damage the paint or melt the plastic.
Apply & Press: Align the cover carefully and press it firmly onto the mirror housing. Apply strong, even pressure across the entire surface for 1-2 minutes to activate the bond.
Cure Time: CRITICAL: Do not wash your car or expose it to heavy rain for at least 24 hours. The adhesive needs this time to reach full bonding strength.
