How to Install the Flex Pipe (General Guide)
Professional installation is highly recommended. The following is a general overview—always refer to vehicle‑specific service manuals.

Remove the bolts securing the old flex pipe to the muffler flange using a wrench (turn counter‑clockwise). Carefully pull the pipe from the flange.

Loosen and remove the clamp connecting the flex pipe to the exhaust downpipe.

Extract the old gasket from between the flex pipe and muffler flange, and clean the flange surface thoroughly with a wire brush.

Inspect the downpipe end; gently hammer out any dents or deformities.

Slightly loosen the nuts that hold the muffler and downpipe in place to allow adjustment.

Apply a high‑temperature exhaust sealer to a new muffler gasket, place it into the muffler flange, and seat the new flexible exhaust pipe over it.

Coat the downpipe end with additional sealant and slide the other end of the new flex pipe onto it. Adjust the muffler and downpipe until the flex pipe runs straight without tension.

Insert bolts through the flex‑pipe holes at the muffler flange and tighten securely with a wrench.

Position a new clamp at the downpipe connection and tighten. Re‑tighten all muffler and downpipe fasteners, and remove any temporary ties or packaging from the flex exhaust pipe.
