The big advantage of this pen mandrel is its ability to easily adjust to different blank sizes. Simple slide the brass compression fitting where you want it and tighten. Inset your blank and tighten the brass knurled nut on the threaded end with finger pressure. No more need to use cumbersome wrenches or awkward spacers. This mandrel features a true fitting #1 Morse Taper, which promotes a secure fit to the headstock of the lathe. The threaded end works with a live center. Mandrel is .245" in diameter and will handle blanks up to 5” in length. Overall length is 9”.
