Hold the thermometer while wearing protective gloves,insert the thermometer stem into boiling water,the pointer should move quickly on the dial and record approximately 212°F (100°C),this indicates that the thermometer is working!

Pay attention to:Prior to attachment, check to be sure thermometer is working properly.
