Special Features

  • Working Principle: TEMT6000 ambient light sensor converts ambient light intensity into an analog voltage signal through the photoelectric effect. Its core is a phototransistor. The light intensity is proportional to the base current, and the output voltage value changes linearly with the light intensity
  • Human Eye Bionic Optical Properties: The spectral response peak of the TEMT6000 sensor is at 570nm (green light band), which is highly matched with the human eye's sensitive band to green light (550-570nm); infrared suppression ratio >10:1, effectively suppressing infrared interference; half-angle sensitivity ±60°, even with large-angle incident light, it can still maintain linear response
  • Illuminance Detection Range: Linear measurement range 1~1000 lux (corresponding to 0~5V output), when the range is exceeded, the output will be saturated (for example, 5V is maintained when >1000lux)
  • Working Voltage: Working voltage range‌ 3.3V~5.5V (including 5V TTL level system), voltage will affect output linearity, it is recommended to use 5V power supply
  • Applicable Scenarios: Can be used for smart devices, such as automatic adjustment of mobile phone/tablet screen backlight; brightness control of smart lamps; adaptive instrument panel lighting; ambient light monitoring and energy-saving management, etc
