The X550-T2 class card is built on the Ethernet Controller X550, a dual-port 10GBASE-T MAC+PHY that adds NBASE-T 2.5G/5G for smooth migration from 1GbE to 10GbE over existing copper cabling. With PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth and enterprise features such as VT-c/SR-IOV, VMDq, RSS, MSI-X, 802.1Q VLAN and jumbo frames (≈15.5KB), it fits virtualization hosts, NAS, and high-throughput workstations. RJ45 ports use standard CAT6A up to 100 m (CAT6 up to 55 m for 10G), so you can reuse structured cabling without SFP+ optics. Full-height and low-profile brackets are included for easy fit in rack servers or SFF cases. Also referred to as a PCI network adapter by users (PCIe interface).
