The BG-N7 Battery Grip from Vello is designed specifically for the Nikon D800, D800E and D810 DSLR cameras and accepts one Nikon EN-EL15 battery. Two battery trays, one for the EN-EL15 and one for the 8 AAs, are included.
The design of a battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your DSLR, especially in the vertical position. A tripod socket is included as is a holder for the camera's contact cover so as not to lose it when it has been removed to install the battery grip.

Step 1: Please use freshly charged, good quality EN-EL15 type batteries, that where installed properly per the Manual.
(Use of AA type batteries requires additional settings in order for the battery status to reflect properly.)
