Installation steps:
Step 1: Remove the film door from the camera.
Step 2: Place the filing guide over the broken latch area, ensuring it rests on the two plastic ribs.
Step 3: Use a needle file on the exposed plastic area. Remove the guide and test the metal latch's fit—it must rest evenly on the ribs with its notch between them. Repeat filing if needed.
Step 4: Clean the plastic surface and metal latch with isopropyl alcohol for proper adhesion.
Step 5: After a final dry fit confirms the latch sits level on the ribs, apply 3 small drops of superglue to its front. Position the latch, ensuring it rests fully on the ribs and is pressed flush against the existing plastic. Hold firmly for 10 seconds
