MLX90614 is a low-cost, non-contact infrared temperature sensor thermometer. The output data is in linear proportion to the object temperature, with high precision and high resolution. In the TO-39 metal package, the infrared induction thermopile detector chip mlx81101 (temperature is measured by PTC or PTAT element) and the special integrated chip MLX90302 for signal processing are integrated at the same time, which are specially used to process the output signal of the infrared sensor. Optical filters (capable of propagating long waves) used to block visible and near-infrared light radiation are integrated in the package to provide immunity to the environment and sunlight. The wavelength passband of the filter is 5.5 to 14μm。 Due to the integration of low noise amplifier, 17 bit analog-to-digital converter and powerful digital signal processing chip MLX90302, the thermometer with high precision and high resolution can be realized. After measuring the output of the two sensors, the corresponding ambient temperature and object temperature are calculated. The calculated object temperature and ambient temperature are stored in the RAM unit of MLX90302. The temperature resolution is 0.01 ℃, and can be output through two-wire SMBus (system management bus) compatible protocol interface (IIC compatible) (0.02 ℃ resolution) or 10 bit PWM (pulse width modulation) output mode. The MLX90614 factory temperature range has been calibrated, and the temperature measured by the sensor is the average temperature of all objects in the field of view.
