SEPT NAMES include: Beaton, Bethune, Beton, Harold, MacCaig, Norman, Williamson, Askay, Callum, Caskie, MacCabe, MacAuley, Lewis, Norrie. The two main branches of this distinguished clan are the MacLeods of Harris and the MacLeods of Lewis, and the name itself is thought to stem from ‘children of the son of Leod'.
